Ouch!
I feel the pain from those photos.
It will be a lot worse if you are in another car other than a MB.

Hey VelocitE55,
Never got the chance to say I'm sorry for what happened to you earlier,
was in exile for a while there.
Just want to say that I'm shocked. This kind of thing really is scary.
I'm really glad that you are alive and almost not hurt.
Don't worry about the car, you'll get better one.
This one actually doesn't look too bad. I'd say a little harder then light damage. Should be a total loss in my opinion considering the loss of value and overall car exclusivity. I saw cars with scratched bumper covers here in Denver that got Total Loss....so fight with your insurance till they pay you.
After they pay you - offer to buy it from them - say for 15-20k - it'll retain good title - sell it on ebay or copart for 45k....just a thought.
Anyway glad you're ok and good luck sorting this whole thing out.
P.S. Any cops reading this - stop wasting our money on Starbucks and start doing your job better. Nuts like that should be off the streets.

Oh My Gosh! This is so unreal... VelocitE55, I can only imagine the emotional stress... random violence is hard to deal with. And this whole Crazy-Merc-Fan crap, it look like his friend got a hold of his ID and got him banned. Good riddance.

I wouldn't say that you are not a member right now. It is more of a matter of mindset and attitude than personal possessions. You belong here more than I do, as you have been around much longer and you have demonstrated the brethren attitude far better than I or most of have. We all need to keep in mind that these forums are for enthusiasts, as well as owners.

Yes, when I first registered here, I had an '05 E55. I posted this in the E55 Forum because I would have to agree, this is THE Forum in MBWorld. I am most familiar with the E55 members and feel more at home here than any other Forum. The E55 Forum also has a lot of traffic, much more so than the CLS55 Forum so theres more input and advice to be had here.

My 1st time reading this crazy thread... Sorry to hear about your accident VelocitE55 but I'm glad you are ok man..
One piece of advice regarding that "CRAZY-MERC-FAN" dude, just ignore him if he shows up again. He ain't worth it.

Blk CLS55 & E500 20" HRE's
I feel your pain
VelocitE55,
I did not get a chance to say I'm sorry for what happened to you earlier. I hope to see you driving around Encino soon. I have not seen many CLS55 in the area, but I'm sure we will run across each other soon.
I was really shocked to read that this happened in the area.
I'm really glad that you are alive and here to talk about it.
Let us know the final outcome.
Lynette

Condolences..
VelocitE55,
My thoughts and condolences go out to you. Although I am a newbie to the forum, seeing this thread made me want to join so i could make this post. I am sorry your had the misfortune of running into someone like that. It truly is a loss to see such a beautiful car done such a wrong. But we still have one of the the brethren of the Tri-star marque alive and well, so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Do whatever it takes to restore the beauty of your car, your health and send that ******* to the longest sentence in a "federal ram-me-in-the-*** prison." Dont be satisfied with anything less than victory. But remember what happened to the man who completed his quest for vengance...he was never ****ing happier.
A few other things:
When California wises up about gun laws, my personal favorite weapon is the Colt 1911. It doesnt have the greatest range and it makes it easy to have unfortunate mishaps, But, God forbid anything should happen like this to anyone here, With one of these hed be sharing his thoughts with a whole lotta pavement.
As for the car of the future, Don't worry about what people say, Drive what makes you happy, I'm sure you of all people knows it's not all about the price tag or the features...it's about the drive.
You're a trooper, what with putting up with injury and the damage and the forum *******s, So I wish you a speedy recovery and holiday cheer. And best of luck t you with your case, although you likely won't need it. I defend this country so people like you may seek justice in it, And I would be damned if you got anything less that total victory.
Best Wishes,
Black Phoenix

Just an update for any of you who are interested.
Tomorrow (1/11) is the preliminary hearing which I recieved a Subpoena to. Turns out there were 11 other victims of this *sshole from Thanksgiving day. Also numerous witnesses received Subpoena's to this hearing including one of my own brothers who witnessed the guy ramming two people on a motorcycle about an hour before my attack. The guy has been in jail since it happened.
I have been going to physical therapy 2-3 times a week and am recovering though I still have difficulty with lifting and excessive moving around due to my back which still needs a lot of work. Mostly I just cant stop thinking about the what if's, like what I wish I would have done differently that night.
The CLS55 wont be coming back until around April. I will let you guys know what happens after the hearing tomorrow. Peace.
