Anyone near Chicago!
Is there anyone near Chicago or the midwest who would be good to retrofit the navigation on an 01 E55? How about anyone who can perform minor modifications in the area? (i.e. change rotors, add K&N filter, help with ECU removal and installation) I am sure all the experts aren't just in Cali.. are they? You

I'm on the NW side of the city. The only person I know of who does NAV retrofits is Steve @ mbenznl.com when he's on one of his US trips. I believe he was in Chicago just recently so you may have missed him. I work on my own car only but I could give you tips on doing some of the other things you're talking about if you're interested. I did my brakes last week and they're not a big deal. There's some local independents that can handle the work like Willow Auto anc C&H Auto if you don't want the dealer to do it.

Steve can definitely help retrofitting navigation, (bi) xenons and some other mods when he is in Chicago during one of his US trips. But he doesn't work on rotors or filters and such...
