Greetings from a new member...
Well, I have been reading this board for quite some time and I finally took the plunge and registered. After reading the saga regarding "Jordan" and the slips I realized I can now come here for some afternoon laughter as well as some good car talk. I hope I can add value to this board through worthy discusion as I absolutely love 4 door super cars. For discussion purposes it should be noted that I do not own a 55 (yet) but I do own an '06 ML 500 and an '06 M5. So, keep it real and once again......Greetings!

I have only had it for 10 days so the jury is still out. I have not driven a 55 so I cannot compare it to that but without comparing it to anything, I will say that I like:
1. M Multifunction Seats (active side bolsters)
2. Heads Up Display (like satelite radio, once you use it you will wonder how you got away without using it in the past)
3. SMG (surprisingly fun....but not as much as a true manual)...my wife will hate it!
4. The power ( obviously does not have the low end grunt as the 55 but when pushing it a bit I have never said to myself, "where is the power?")
5. Handling / steering is unbelievable
6. A lot of gadgets if you are a gadget guy
7. The exhaust note is beautiful (when pushed)
Dislikes:
1. Styling of the 5 series (the M is much better but you can still se some of the 5's blood line)
2. Gas mileage (OMG...we are talking worse than my Dodge Ram Hemi)
3. I-drive still sucks
4. If you are not a gadget guy...stay away from this car
5. The exhaust at idle is a bit rough
6. Lack of color choices for exterior and interior
7. Gas guzzler tax of $3,700!!!
Again, I have not owned it that long but so far I have been happy with it. I will take pictures when it stops raining/snowing here in the Midwest and post them ASAP.
