Questions to those with Pano Roof
I am looking at purchasing an 04 E55 with Pano roof and am looking for any reasons that would sway my decision. Just looking for honest opinions.
Thanks
Mike

I have an 05 with the Pano roof and love it. I dont like the look of a non black E55 with the pano roof however. It looks like a two-tone car. The black (paint code 040) matches the roof nicely.

Love mine too, the black contrast on my silver car adds to the black wheels IMO. There are some light creaks when going up and down uneven driveways though- nothing that would sway my vote though....
Not the best pics but I hope they help...

What wheels are you running? The unsprung weight savings really shows during acceleration.

Alos build date of 9/03 with in service date of 9/30/03. Any issues with early 04's? Will also be purchasing the extended warranty.
Thanks in advance.
I am chomping at the bit to get this car but want to do my homework first.

the pano is where it's at, fer shurr. i would've optioned it into my '55 wagon had it been available, but it's a sedan-only option. i think it makes the interior of the car feel even better than it already does, even from the front seats.

I have it and wouldn't get it again. It allows a lot more heat in the car than a solid roof car, a big deal in a warm climate. The opening is really no different than a regular sunroof, all you really gain is a window in the roof for your occasional back seat passengers. I'm not a sunroof user the noise annoys me. If your someone who uses a regular sunroof a lot then get it but if it just to have it or to have a black roof with a silver car I wouldn't bother. My car is silver and it does look cool, but I won't get one again. just my 2 cents and it looks like i'm the only one who thinks its not worth it.
I just noticed you were looking at an 04 not a new car if it has the solar panels I would get it but if not I wouldn't. I think the 04's have solar panels, 05's do not.

I still have the stock 18s. I was looking at BBS LMs(25lbs) but your competition wheels look so good and at 20lbs I am sure they do wonders for performance. I don't know what they cost but I bet it's $$$$$$$$$$$.
