Don't have the horsepower "problem" that you do with your mods. I've driven in some slushy stuff a couple of times with my wintersport M3's and the Beast has handled just fine. I do switch the transmission to 'C'.

I would definately recommend those Dunlop Wintersport M3's. I have them on my car and it gets me to where I need to go.

Real Cars
Believe it or not Jak I drove my E55 through last year's winter on snows... it was actually not too bad, but I really hated doing that to my car. I recently canceled my Z06 order and found a good deal on an Audi S4... even came with snow tires. Fun isn't the word to describe this car in the snow... it's unreal. The +200hp over stock helps too

Nij, do you run winter tires? I'm in Streamwood, where do you trust to have tires put on your car? I'm looking for winter rubber.

I am in Glenview. I ran Dunlop M3s on my E55... made winter driving very tolerable. Ran M2s on my W210 E55. Both performed very well even in the worst conditions.

I am from the North East and we can get pleanty of snow. I park my '05 E55 next to my 1969 big block SS Camaro all winter long in my climate controlled warehouse. I use my other winter vehicles an '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee and for the big snow storms my '05 Ram 3500 Cummins Powered 4X4 Pickemup truck

It's my building where I store and work on my toys. It's air conditioned and heated, plus It has a full work shop with lift, tools, welders, hydralic bending machines, fork lifts etc. I use to road race back in the day and this is were I worked on my race cars. I must say it's nice to have it and all my friends come over to work on their toys

Mine has been tucked away also in a climate controlled storage garage with some other nice cars. I live in Wisconsin and will never drive a nice car in the winter. The salt gets into places you can't even imagine and you can't get it out. The little pacman guys are chewing on your metal 24/7 after that and all the bolts rust up and that nice factory freshness is gone forever. Just **** me. I drive an SUV in the winter and let the pacmans chew on that. They get hamburger, not steak!

I cannot agree with you more. I would never ever drive my nice rides in the winter. The Snow, Salt, and Potholes takes a toll on any car. Thats why I bring out my big guns. The Jeep Cherokee and The Ram3500 4X4's.
