Tiptronic Help!!

What's the difference between tiptronic in comfort mode, tiptronic in sports mode, and tiptronic in manual mode?
I have the 2005 E55.

In sports mode, the automatic gear box revs higher before shifting. In manual mode, it only shifts automatically downwards, but not upwards (you have to do that manually).
Others should chime in to corroborate. I'm still awating mine (keeping my fingers crossed that I can take delivery this Wednesday and join the club! )

sports mode....downshifts for you, holds in gear longer, sharper quicker shifts...most people say this is all you'll never need in your e55 and its all i ever really use becuase their still is some lag time using the tip!!!

comfort...everyday driving
manual....you are using the tip but you are required to shift at redline....computer will not automatically shift for you!! so use caution...best for taking turns though!!!

using tip in sport and comfort i have found is not necessary....the trani does a good job shifting quickly when you slam on the gas...
