Your car would great with black wheels with a huge polished lip in the rear, also the wheels will stand out big time with those super sized silver AMG brakes you got.

They seem to grip much better than the Contis in the corners (haven't tried any dragstrip launches with them). Ride is similar to stock, although there is a little more NVH with 19's and a smaller sidewall. Nothing siginificant though and well worth the tradeoff.

From what I recall their customer service was terrible a couple years back. However, from what I have seen it is much improved. If you want to make it easier, go through a vendor, as they will handle the contact with iforged should problems arise. I have a set of their wheels on order. I'll be sure to post pics once they are on.

Guy's!!!

It would be NICE if you could post the pics of the wheels you are suggesting...if possible prices and best place too GET them from...

I only want 19's...Our roads are not that good...20's wouldn't surrvive long...

Ok M5 RUS, took some pics of my new black wheels. I missing one lug on the rear, does anyone know where to buy wheel locks 12 1.5mm about 25mm long?

Vic55, Where did you get the wheel locks and how close are your front calipers to you spokes? I want to put a big brake kit but I'm having rubbing issues.

I guess you like the silver color better because they are the same wheels, just black. These wheel are not any heavier than my stock 18" AMG ones with tires.
I really don't know that much about Knesis, I know that HRE are very light for being a 3 piece and for how strong they are.

The wheel locks came with the wheels set from Evosport- I am not sure where they got them from but they cost a crap load!! My front calipers are about 1/2 inch off the calipers and the front wheels are I believe a 27 offset.

In regards to unsprung weight I can definitely tell a difference. These wheels are about 8lbs lighter in the front and 9lbs in rear versus the factory wheels. So I dropped about 34lbs which, correct me if I am wrong, is like removing a 136lb weight from the car (sprung).

Thank you for the good info, your car looks great! I have been told 1lb of rotating weight is equal to 4lbs and some say close to 8lbs but 4lbs sounds more real.
Maybe I will call Evo today or F1 to check out wheel lock prices.

I have had some nice wheels in my time and this is the first time I have had wheel locks. Most people told me that if a thief really wants your wheels then wheels locks wont stop them. But wheel locks are a pain in the *** when you get a flat and cant find the lug key.

You guys think black ones would look better on black then charcoal???

Here E55 with Charcoal 441R's...I wonder how would they look on black E55...

http://us.st11.yimg.com/store1.yimg...._1875_13732611

I like those 441R and 448R wheels also...but they are 5-6ibs heavier then competition ones...

Also been told that competition wheels desingned for tracj use and much stronger then regular HRE....

Can it be true???

Here more pics of 441R and 448R...I'm thinking about...

What do myou think those or Competition C20 or C21

I think the charlcoal looks great on black, its a subtle but nice contrast, it also allows wheels with a thin spoke like the C20 to "show" up a little more. We have done charlcoal on black cars and it looks great (IMO).
