Will Drag radials help me?

I have a stock e55 01 and want faster time at the track. Will Drag radials for the cost add much to my time? What would be the best bet for a few thousand dollars?

I think the Mercedes ESP system does a pretty good job of keeping the car in traction.

Don't know about running drag radials and turning the traction control off.

Is traction an issue? If it is, then DR's will be very helpful.

DR would probably help...but we're talking about a few 1/10ths of a second

A few tenths of a second might not be bad for $500. I would love to try to get my car to break the 13 second mark. Currently stock 01 E55 but I am willing on doing modifications. I am unsure what are the easiest and cheapest ways to get quicker. I have a call into a Kleemann dealer in Madison here to see what they can offer. What does anyone think? How much can a upgraded ECU give? K & N filters? Or is my only chance to break 13's to get a Kompressor. I am really thinking about the Kleemann S3 with cams, headers. Anyone with experience?
