Dyno mode for 2002 E55
I did a search and found tons of info but mainly for 2003+. Does anyone know if the procedure is the same (using the steering wheel) for 2002 & 2003? If they are different can someone fill me in with a step by step for a 2002 E55? I apologize if this is already in print somewhere on here and I just missed it - thanks.

I am interested also in your reply as I have a 01 I would like to have dyno'd.
A question I have is when would you use the dyno mode other than in testing? Can you run it on the track in dyno and would the car be any faster?

I have no info about dyno mode on the W210 E55 but does it have ESP? The reason that W211s have dyno mode, as I understand it, is because of the interference with traction control.
You may not need to put it in a special mode to dyno.
This is just a guess so if anyone has any other info, chime in.

Vetluver - Yes the W210's have ESP.
T-boy - Yes you can use it on the track, it may or may not be faster depending on a couple of different variables. Some people have trouble warming up their tires (powerbreaking) before a run down the strip due to ESP. So one benfit of running in dyno mode at the track is not having ESP interfere with the tire warm up.
