Springs and Shocks

I lowered my car about 2 years ago and feel like my shocks are starting to give up. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I have about 40k miles and am wondering if it is time to change them anyway. And if it is time, what shocks do I go with?

Depending on which springs you actually have on your car, I'd suggest that you look at the Bilstein Touring (softer), Heavy Duty (harder), and Sport (in-between?). Bilsteins are hard to beat on a Benz if you want both comfort and handling without spending alot more money. Plus they last for ages....
