2006 GRANSPORT VS W211 E55
In a straight line light to light they are dead heat. In a 1/4 mile the E will be slightly quicker. The Gransport's made in 05 and 06 were much faster than the earlier 02-05 Maser cambio coupes or spyders- these cars would be seeing only Benz tail lights

I have the 2005 spyder cambiocorsa that has the F1 gearbox. I have not taken it to the track but it seems like 13sec 1/4 mile time you hear about on the net is very in accurate. I've raced a few street bikes from 0-130 and never been taken. With traction control off and a good driver I would put my money on the stock maserati over the stock E55 any day.
As for the bikes, a supermoto like an Aprilia SXV 550 would still take your Maserati and those aren't built for straight line speeds so a 600 even with a bad rider would obliterate a Maserati. Just like iAMGod said a 750 or a 1000 would be too cruel to even watch. A 1000 like the S1000RR is a 9 sec bike, the only way your car would do a 9 sec run is if it was pushed off a very high cliff

I am surprised a $800K MC12 run only 11.8 1/4 mile........ a Super car like that looks like 10's car. Anyways, i prefer Lambo or Ferrari than $800K Maserati.

Obvious troll is obvious, we probably won't be hearing from him anytime soon, he's too busy murdering liter bikes and GT-Rs with his BEAST

I completely agree, Maserati is sort of the awkward man's Ferrari, their quality and performance and design has come up alot but they still have alot to do. The MC12 actually uses the same engine as the Enzo. I'm pretty sure it runs high 10s though, maybe that reviewer didn't drive it properly or something was wrong with the car. Enzos run 10s and this doesn't weight much different, maybe even less. This car is for people with too much money and who love Maserati and want it in their "collection", people like Jay Leno.
