Please Help

I know that this forum is just for W210 and W211, but I would like some feedback on something. I recently bought a 1967 Ford Mustang GT 350. The car was out of state so I had it shipped. Well I finally received the car last night. Everything on the car was excellent except for the fact that, I realized that the car was not stopping when you hit the brake pedal. It was going all the way to floor without any tension. . I spoke to the seller and he told me that when he dropped it off at the shipping yard, the brakes were fine. I have no reason why not to believe him because he was very honest throughout the whole process. I am wondering what could have happened from the transport. The only thing that I am thinking is that maybe it has no brake fluid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How about popping the hood open and checking to see if there really is any brake fluid?

That is exactly what I am going to do when I get home. I received the car late last night and didn't get a chance to do it. I am just trying to get any suggestions just in case that is not it.

That's what it sounds like to me....brake line broken.

That's the best part about old cars.......let's say worse came to worse....bout the only thing on those pups is master cylinder, lines and calipers themselves.

Not like our SBC NASA brake systems.....which seem to be having a wonderful record lately anyway.

Keep us updated.

I'd also say it was a brake line or very common on older cars, a wheel cylinder for the drum brakes.. They always tear up. As someone else stated, it will be a cheap fix no worries.

How about some pix?? Is it already a restored 100 point show winner or are you going to restore it??

I would like to thank everyone for the feedback. I was finally able to look at the car with some daylight and saw that it was one of the brake cylinders. I am going to replace both front brake cylinders. The only problem that I am having is finding someone reputable who can work on her. Yes, she has been fully restored. She looks like Eleanor. I will try to post some pics later this week. If anyone knows of a good mechanic please let me know.
