the only way I'll get an E63 is if Kleeman comes out with a supercharger for it.

I think it been discussed that 6.3 engine is not ideal for supercharging because of compresion ratio or smth? Someone correct me if im wrong. But that would be kinda cool.... 510 hp + supercharger = 630 - 650 hp... + 7 gears = "m5 in rear view mirror"

I love the idea of the E63; as soon as they offer it in the wagon version I'm in. I love the element of stealth the wagon adds, and truly enjoy the look on Porsche drivers' faces when they realize they were just blown away... by a station wagon...

Anyone have any idea how long it might take the wagon to be offered? Now that BMW has announced US sales of an M5 Touring, I doubt if M-B will discontinue theirs...

Still not a peep outta Benz on performance numbers.....that's pretty scary with people placing orders already.

Weird ya know, "We can't except orders for the new E55 Mr Customer....you have to order the E63" Okay fine...what are the official performance numbers?? Official HP, Torque, 0-60. "Errrr ehhhh, look just trust us...it'll be fast! Numbers shmumbers!"

Remeber with the M63, we were pretty much sick of hearing about it and it wasn't even official yet.

Hopefully no news is good news.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
My bet is that turbocharging will be more feasible than supercharging. Just add turbos and plumbing and lower the CR and voila 700 HP or more.

Thats if the transmission can handle all that power and torque. I have a feeling the 7G we are going to get with the NA 63 engine is going to be fairly weak and would most certainly collapse or implode internally if we were to turbo or supercharge. Perhaps the fine folks at Kleemann can give us more information.
