Guys anyone work out how they got the increased power on the SL55's now app 517hp & 720 nm.

Mbe we can apply similar upgrade to our cars...

Think 030 CLS's also have updated mapping given Tony007's great stock dyno figs.

I was also wondering the same thing. The SL55, S55 and CL55 have the 493hp rating but have the same tq ratings as our cars. 24hp difference

I think Steve is right on.. Bone stock my CLS55 030 put down 442.2 rwhp and 510.0 rwtq.

These are SAE corrected rwhp numbers from a Dynojet.

It looks like torque was increased over the entire RPM range. My guess would be a small increase in the boost level.

Yeah I agree. There is something different, mostly software and upped boost. Just look at the SLR 600 617hp and 575tq and its pretty much the same 5.5L 24v engine. We need a Technical overview describing what in fact is different.
