I called Brabus in CA and the price for the rear spoiler was $895.00. It must be painted to match the color of the MB.......

There is an ugly three-piece one for W211 E class, whose stuck on short ends extend right over the tail lights and it looks horrible.

Get the BRABUS- if you try to save money, you will be doing it twice!

Exactly that is just an E-class spoiler offered right across the 211 range. If it were "AMG" the E55s would come with it standard.

I'm waiting to see the W211 in person from jangy, but I've heard nothing but problems about fit and finish from the Renntech lip and all thumbs up for Brabus except the cost... $900 plus paint... OUCH!~

You can get the Schatz lip, which looks a lot like the C55 / Carlsson W211 Spoiler

You guys can be such asses. I forgot that I don't have a Mercedes, I have an AMG. Jeez, I'm soooo glad I debadged this thing. It's much less pressure on me to have to act like a Benz owner rather than an AMG one. I guess its true what they say about Australians, huh? Actually, not even all that impressed with the UK much less their rejects.

Interesting...the finish on mine was awesome, to the point that my bodyshop who is pretty knowledgable was raving about the quality...and the fit was perfect. Guess I was lucky?

Lucky, non ****, something like that. Some of us are pretty picky with things associated with our toys. The 3 piece from formymercedes.com isn't that bad, and my dad can't tell the difference. But to me, the MERCEDES BENZ 3 piece spoiler for the W211 (which the E55 AMG is one) is a world apart. I think Jerry is probably as picky as I am. Also, we don't have the Renntech. we are just saying what feedback is all over the boards. Maybe you got lucky, I dunno. Maybe your E is defective enough that it fits a Renntech perfectly? There could be a bunch of reasons. One question, though. What exactly qualifies your body shop dude? If the fin comes with PERFECT finish, what exactly does the body shop guy do? You may want to start judging your service people based on the quality of their work, rather than how awed they pretend to be in when you roll up? Hehe, I'm in a mood since those Aussies woke me up!

oh my... you are AWAKE... easy boy... you're going to have a heart attack or something, we all need to remember one thing... these are STILL JUST CARS... we have our on tastes... I mean it's like riding a moped or having sex with big women... it's all fun until your friends see ya...

I'm sure Renntech is good stuff, just as formymercedes, but if someone has the money to make their own choice... then let them get what they like...

Haha. I'm cool with them upside down and mirror image folks. Just cars? Just cars? You saying that I'm supposed to care what my friends say about my scooter? Dude, it is a GSR40! It goes 40mph. Haha, funny thing is I was the Big Dude that the cute girls tagged on the side. Never bothered me. I was just counting. I need to decide something about rims, though.

It is less than half the price of Brabus, which is probably more reasonable

Personally I dont like the look of the mb one (isnt that the one that has the part that comes down towards the back of the car too?).

As far as fit, can you describe to me what has been the wrong with others' spoilers?

Mine has just a sliver on each side, and the bow matches the back of the car perfectly. I actually pay attention to most details, so it's not bc im blind and like garbage on my 90k car.
Now quality...I think the guy has seen a lot more spoilers in his day than most of us. The cheaper the spoiler, the chances are the cheaper the method of construction. The renntech one is soild, and I recall the guy pointing out to me a way to tell the method of construction, but its been a while. Im sure the brabus one is fine..just with my experience with the renntech one, I have zero regrets...

No, not the English, the Vikings did, but forgot to write it down, so the Italians (Columbus) had to do it again 400 years later, this time properly.
I wonder what the Native Americans thought of their first pizza....

Haha!! Hey Rafal, why should I be careful? You trying to find an excuse for a visit to Cali?? Hehe. As for the fit and finish issues I've noted. The "cheaper" copy of the 3 piece MB one has a few noticeable diffs, mind you they may be extremely subtle and some may not care. The edges on the lines are much sharper and more precise on the real deal. I think it has to do with the material itself and how it is molded. Second, the MB one fits the curves of the car PERFECTLY. There is no bending it to get it to stick in place, or anything. Even without the sticky tape, the piece fits the curves and sits on the lid. The cheap one basically has to get stuck into place. The main place that the difference is seen is at the gap between the third tail light and the lip / fin. Lastly, the edges where the 3 pieces meet line up perfectly with the gaps of the trunk. Just a matter of preference. Go to the dealership and just hold the real one and if you don't feel the difference then get the cheap on. If you don't like the 3 piece look, then get the Brabus.

Jerry,
pm me if you wanna see it today. I am dropping it off to get detailed. It has been sitting outside for almost 2 months, so it is FILTHY. I hope to have the garage cleaned out enough to fit it back in today!
