12v outlets are found in the ashtrays, headlights and battery. Everything else is low voltage. I hooked mine to the headlight switch, others used the front ashtry. I had my MB guru do it, so don't know how to get into either.

Actually i do not want to get the power from the ashtray. I just want to hide all cables in the interior, and the car starts and the V1 starts.
The thing i dont know is how can i connect the V1's cables to the car cables? Do i need any adapters?
Please post some photos. Thank you!

Switched 12V is what you want and because the car is completely computerized, sources for 12v are very few. There are no kits or connectors available that I know about.
This subject has been beaten to pulp in the electronics area of this forum. As I mentioned I had an MB master mechanic do mine and he learned as he went on my 03E500. What he told me was that they tested all the circuits and headlight hot wires and ashtrays were the only place to tie into. He did not want to tear up the clips in the ashtray so they spliced into the headlight circuit.
As far as the cost....it was free, I trade services with him. I once did a "washerectomy" out of the cylinder head of a Porche Turbo with my fiberoptic cystoscope for him. Didn't charge him for that but in a human it would be significantly more than he would have charged me. HA HA

Local stereo shop quoted me $75 for the install.
I was going to have them do the wiring then I noticed the V1 connector was already there from the PO. Wires over the drivers pedals were tapped for the switched power.
