Euro Bumper strips: How do I get rid of "MALFUNCTION" message?
I just received my bumper strips and was wondering what folks did in order to clear the "MALFUNCTION" message on the dash cluster. I currently have no bumper strips on the car, as I dont want to re-install the old ones, nor do I want to install the new ones only to remove them. Since my car looks like *** right now, I'd really like to know what to do!

what I usually do is:
leave the bulb in the socket
leave the wiring with socket and bulb behind the bumper (accesible from behind the mudcovers underneath the wheelwell
put black tape (or ducttape?) on the amber part of the sidemarker
put the bulb and socket back in the sidemarker
fix the sidemarker to the car;s body with tiewraps behind the bumper
As soon as you take the bulb out of the socket you get a malfunction...there is a way through stardiagnose to get rid of that malfunction but that changes a lot of other settings as well - so we do not recommend changing that setting.

...upcoming weekend...and no I never bring any bumperstrips as those are to be ordered colorspecific and that varies per car.
I only have one new set of 744 silver colroed eurospec bumperstrips left over in cali
