200mph speedo for '03-04?
Just wondering if I'm the only one curious about the possibility of changing the 160mph speedo for the 200mph speedo on the older E55's. I'd do it if it wasnt exorbitantly expensive, but is it possible?

My dealer said it couldn't be done. The best they could do is replace the 160. I would like a 200. If anybody knows how to get that accomplished I sure would like to know.

Yea, I agree with Steve, it's all about a computer program on these cars, I know when I had my Saleen's they changed the speedo's but it involved just a sticker and a small gear change in the dash... then with the new cars 99+ in involved reflashing the computer... it can be done... again I know Brabus sells a cluster but it's bucks up...

Let's face it, few dealers would be willing to do it, and for many of us, they are the only ones with STARdiagnose.
My dealer was EXTREMELY reluctant I asked them to install my xenon lights. Even when I brought the parts the technician and service advisor both looked at each other like I was a crazy person.
Hopefully they'll believe me next time since I pretty much told them how to do the job the last time.
