Bluetooth in 2006 E55

Hi Everybody,

Does anyone know when the bluetooth and voice activated phone integration kit will be available for the 2006 E55, and any guesses as to how much it will cost?

Cheers,

bluetooth is coming out for all cars with phones post model year 2000. I hear the MOST version will be first on the market followed by the d2b system shortly after.

First quarter fo 2006 so they say.

The dealer told me. But they had no idea when or how much. They indicated the Bluetooth and voice control module would be in the form of a "kit" the dealer could install. It would be fully integrated with COMAND.

I'm hoping this also will include voice activated NAV. Is voice activated nav available now as part of some other package?

It's a bit dissapointing that you can get several Honda models, and probably other cars, with voice activated Nav, but it's either an expensive option or to-be-released-later dealer install option for us.

That dealer is an idiot. The phone kit you need is the MHI kit that has been sold since 03. The only bluetooth part you need is the adaptor or puck or whatever they are calling it. And you can change that out with a cradle if you want that too.

What a bunch of clowns at your dealer. And, on top of it they make a huge margin on things like phone kits....so you would think they would be on top of an easy profit center!

Try the people at AutoWireless Solutions... Mercedes is outsourcing the phone stuff to them. At least that is what my dealer told me and you can see the Bluetooth module/puck on their site. I don't know how much it is or how well it operates. When using the Bluetooth module the phone is no longer directly connected to the car which means it isn't charging or using the cars antenna. I prefer the original integrated phone but am not in love with the V710. www.wireless4mb.com
