I just bought a stock E55 w211 on ebay (going to use it with my winter tires). The wheels comes with Continental ContiSport Contact 2 tires. Does any of you used this type of tires and is it Good, Decent, or Bad?

I have them on my stock set of wheels that I use for the winter. They suck! Once I wear them down enough, I'm going to Pilot Sports. The Contis are noisey and have terrible traction...if you have the chance to get different tires, do it!

i have PS2 with my current setup.... I might get them tires remove (conti's) and sell it on ebay since its practically new. Thanks for the info.

Save the rears for wicked burn outs, that's about all they are good for.

A search on the is forum will find very few people are fond this original equipment tire. We all can't understand why MB put a junk tire on one of the finest cars on the market. Hopefully MB will switch back to Michelins for all their models not just the cheaper ones.

PS2s are the best street tire for the E55 IMO, superior in every way. Some of the guys have gone to autocross tires and although they handle well in the dry they won't do for bad weather. If you have snow to contend with several other tires other than Michelins may be better.
