mesh

Hey everyone.

Attached are two pictures of the front of the wagon I have just bought. When I went and test drove the car the mesh in the front spoiler was pushed back and the retaining clip broken. I told the dealership that it needed to be repaired before they put it on the truck to ship it to me. I asked for it to be photograhed and this is what I got. Does this look right?

To me it looks like the bottom of the mesh is still pushed back judging by the white dirt line and the fact that the corner looks flush. Also, I'm not sure if there isn't a buckle in the middle. a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion wouldn't hurt and if someone has a picture of how it should look I would very much like to use that.

Thankyou.

Typically the front of the mesh sits pretty flush with the upper lip of the lower part of the grill where the white line is that you mentioned. It is a little hard to judge from these pictures but it does seem to be pushed back a bit. There are 3 clips that sit along the inner rim of the lower opening, one in the middle and two beside it. There may be more but I am not absolutely sure. Maybe someone else can offer their opinion as well. Hope this helps.

if looking at car from front:
the right side is more pushed back than the left side.

It is hard for me to tell. the mesh does become the first to get bent up, even by just splatting bugs at high speed. i do not think it is too expensive. would they consider a replacement to make the sale?

I think so. I just need the evidence that it is wrong.

Look for the three clips on the lower part of the mesh. No clips, no deal.
