I'm really curious about the power variences between E55's. What do these cars range at? Whats a strong running car (HP/dyno#) and whats a weak running car?

People who have dynoed their cars in varied from please pipe up...

I ask because I went to the local sunday hangout and I raced a 2006 Corvette C6 automatic, fully stock, and I got beat by a 1/2 car length. The vette driver and I were both driving alone. I have a 2003 E55 all stock.

In a prior race (1-2 months ago) I drove SLamar1s' 2005 E55 with him in the car AND another passenger (none of us are small..all at or about 200,3 people in the car) and raced this SAME vette (although he did have a passenger) and we beat him by 2 car lengths.

I did give the guy the jump, which ended up being 1 full car length (he wouldn't race me otherwise) and I did reel him in by 1/2 car to 130mph.

I also raced him from a dead stop where i beat him by 2 cars. Although that didn't make me any happier.


So...ultimately...i'm pissed because I got beat and I want to know why?

So what HP does a soft car make and what HP does a strong/freak car make?

I have only seen one on the forum that was a little below 400 RWHP, the rest have ranged from approximately 405 to 440 RWHP. Most, seem to be around 410 to 420 RWHP. - Bob

BTW -- Was Daniel (black CL65 AMG) at the Sunday rollons this week? Are you guys all going to Test & Tune on Friday March 31st at LVMS?

Yeah, Daniel was there for a little while.

I haven't put much thought into going out on the 31st. I might go out and see what the car does.

DKM, there are so many variables in street racing, it's tough to say if there is a problem or if someone just used your weaknesses to their advantage.

Are you sure the C6 was stock?

With my car, if I blow the launch I can run mid 12s, which would be just about what a stock C6 6spd automatic would run with a good launch.

He said it was stock. The guy is kind of a goober, so I have a hard time thinking its not true.

Either way...i did get him from a dead dig. So...whatever. I need to go dyno the car and see whats going on.

Its also hard to say a 60mph roll on is an AMG's weakness. Wouldn't you think its our clear advantage?
