2005 E55
Good choice. I could have had a CLS, but I did not like the high beltline, low roof, and the wide strip of wood on the dash. I also like the low profile of the 4 door grocery getter, especially while looking at Vetts, Mustangs, BMWs, Z28s, etc in the rear view mirror.

a few...
don't be mean to be shady... but anyone that simply flashes up a message on a board sayin' "I'll pick her up tomorrow... but I don't know which one" is probably one that wants more with their own self attention from others than most.
so, I'd say get the CLS.

Topaz Blue M3.....to upcoming E63
Sit in one or the other. Personally, I'm going w/ the E. I'm coming from an M3 and it is more spacious in the front than the CLS. Very cramped up front and the blindspots are many!!! I'd say drive one of each, doesn't have to be the 55's and you'll see what I mean. I'm only 5'10" and getting in and out was a problem.

While the front lines look good, I still can't stand the rear lines of the CLS. That's why I picked the E over the CLS.

E63S
I'll probably buy the E55 due to money and incentives, but I think the CLS is a better/hotter looking car. There are too many E350s out ther that look the same. Any I think the seating room in back is better with the E55, although I don't need space for 5.

According to the Autotrader side by side comparison, the back seat legroom of the #55 vs the CLS55 is as follows:

Rear Legroom 35.6 inches vs. 35.0 inches

Looks tighter than that to me?

Forget about trying to decide which to get, just do what I did and get both the E55 and CLS55.

I agree with you Sox. Right now the e55 is a much better value buy, but the cls55 is the better looking car.
