Spare tire affects transmission shift points?

Spare tire affects transmission shift points?
Hello,
I hit a pothole this morning and damaged my front right tire so I put on the spare tire on my w210 e55. Almost immediately I noticed that the transmission was shifting differently. It wants to stay in what feels like 4th gear even with it on D. Do you guys think it is because the spare tire is smaller in diameter?
