agree..
but if we get technical details such as
final hp and tq figures
wheel and tire package
gearing and final ratios
weight
improved suspension components?
it would be enough to start comparing.

the media day is tomorrow and thursday, therefore we will have pictures available before Friday's pubic opening day.
I bet, Motortrend, R&T and C&D have a test already lined up after the event. Don't be surprise come May for the (June edition) you will see a test and comparison just in time for its June production sale.

C55 AMG, 135i, 911 GT3, GLE43 AMG
Thre is more press release information in this link about all the upgrades for this E-class facelift.
http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm...ut-in-new-york
0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds for the new E500 (probably will be called E550 in N. America). As a comparison, Mercedes claims 5.2 seconds for the C55 AMG.
No acceleration times for the E63 listed yet.
Like the C-class facelift in 2005, there is now the "Direct Control" upgrades to the steering and suspension tuning fopr the E-class. If it is as good as the ones that the C-class got, handling should be much improved and may be more competitive/comparable to the BMW 5 series.
