Nice one! I assume this is only for drag racing, or that nice big turbo without an air filter would have a life expectancy of 15 minutes on the highway...

BTW: all he has to do is attach the filter to the turbo. Prolly a 1 min thing. The car is very streetable even with that much power. The only problem is traction of course. Single turbo supras power comes on very hard compared to twins.

What is your pump gas numbers? 700? And what internals and turbo is it?

When I was just a "kid" I had two Supra Turbos, a 93 and 94 and paid low dollars for them at the time (23k approximately).... I worked for Lexus and Toyota and now I am kicking myself because they are still such awesome cars and I want one again. Your Supra is a beast and a half!!

No actually..the pic was taken before i finished the intake tube w the filter. You'll see that there isnt lines from the valve covers to the catchcan in the front passenger corner. The strut tower bar isnt in and a couple other little things.

I don't drag race this car..i do top speed runs. Theres a group of us that get together on sundays and play around.

MAD, My car always has C16 in it. Its not a "pump gas" car. I just buy it in 54gallon drums and keep it hanging out.

Its a GT47 80mm turbo, it also has a carillo rods, arias pistons, bigger valves, headwork, and so on.

L8T, I've seen the same pics that u posted. It look like a nasty setup. I wish him luck. It'll be a handful.

Big Marcus Frost, WHats up my man. I saw your post about you selling your car (e55) and bought a SL600. Thats cool. My dad just bought a alabaster white/java S65. He's also got a 2004 CL600 white/java and my mom drives 2005 Sl600 SPORT (Desert silver/stone). So enjoy that SL..they're sweet.

BLOWNV8, Its laggy and it hits hard but it doesn't bother me too much. I drive it like i stole it. So it always pulls nicely.

from the plot yes the turbo is laggy....as expected for a monster such as a gt47....but anyone that things that car is not fun on the street due to lag would be on crack....when that things hits you better hold the **** on =P I just don't know how you keep that thing from fishtailin all over the place =P Too much power.

Same guy! This should work his very fast Pcar.

I have heard Chris Chow is helping him with a nitrous assist kit on the turbos for a quicker spool to reduce lag. It should drop lag by 1500rpms.

I understand about having nothing but C-16. I used to run 110 octane in mine all the time. I only had a 71GTQ with pistons cams and such also. It pushed 800rwhp. The power is pretty amazing still for these cars.

Have you looked into a stroker yet from titan?

Your car is a easy 9 sec car maybe a high 8 with the perfect launch and slicks. But us 6speed supra owners know how hard that is to do.

I am still debating whether to go all out and do a similar setup as yours, or do a more streetable setup with 71gts that I can still run pump gas on at low boost. I've been told pump gas is an impossibility, especially local 91 octane, with a turbo as big as a gt47-80.

medici- you could get away with 1bar maybe. But that is pushing it on pump 91 for that turbo. Maybe mix a little race fuel in there. You can run pump really on any turbo its just a matter of tuning it. For me I had 2 maps pump and race gas. My pump gas map at 16psi was really conservative on timing and safe and made 530rwhp i think.

Btw I think I remember you from supraforums. I might have helped you with a problem when you were bpu.(boost cut?)

VR's Supra will annhihilate his 996TT.

The facts we know about the car are that it should pull 1500RWHP at 45PSI off bottle. He plans to run it to 55PSI with bottle. Also, full boost should hit in the mid 5000 RPM range, and his rev limiter is set at 10,500. This should undoubtedly be the fastest street supra in the world, if not one of the fastest street cars in the world.

My local friend that helped me build my car just ran 8.3 in his street supra. Marco owns the white one in the video. Marco is actually on this site too..he has a CL55.
