VRUS - I like it a lot. Of course, I'm partial to black wheels (love them). Consider doing chrome lips... that's what I have on my new AVUS. Chrome is just much easier to maintain. My first set on my C55 had a polished lip and it was a pain in the *** to polish. I would spend like 3 hours on my wheels. Chrome just wipes clean and looks shinny all the time.

Victory for Victor-- it looks great, all black and evil!! You might want to consider getting the Silvervision bulbs for your front to eliminate the orange turn signals in the headlights. The Silvervisions still blink orange too. Are you thinking about lowering it?

And, Yes.. Now that I see the new stance, there is too much rake on the car.. I want the rear lowered by another 0.5" - 0.75"..

Very nice! Very black! IMHO black wheels only look good on a black car... you got it all going on but can you remove that front plate?

I hate to be the lone dissenter, but i liked the CCW set a lot more. Thanks to replicas the Brabus wheels have become so common on crappy benzes that they just dont look good to me anymore. Just this morning I came across a "custom" "C55" with "Brabus" wheels and small single exhaust if that's any indication.
However, it would be sweet to see a set of black center HRE's or Iforged on it

Unfortunately we have a law against no front plate in Ontario. I used to be the rebel and drove around for years (on my Ferraris and Porsches) without a front plate. I got pulled over way too many times. I didn't really care about paying the $100 fine; it was more the hassle of getting pulled over and waiting for them to finish their task...I just finally got fed up and put the plate on.

I hear you.. Don't get me wrong, I love the CCW wheels.. I just wanted something that had the black centers and John didnt have any wheels that could accommodate that look.

I dont know if I will keep the Brabus style wheels or not.. I picked them up mainly because they were available and I could try out the look for relatively low cost. Now that I know I like the look I will decide what style wheels I want and order a custom set.. I wont mind waiting for them because now I have something I can roll around on..

Have you considered the "black chrome" powdercoat finish from CCW? I ultimately decided on Iforged, but if not for the group buy Derrick at D2Autosport had going on, I would be rolling on black chrome CCW's right now. In fact, I will probably end up sitting on a set for my Supra once I finish up the single turbo upgrade.

Yup.. John and I discussed it a few times but in the end I didnt like the fact that the whole wheel was black chromed.. It gives the impression that the wheel is dirty from brake dust.. (that's what I think anyways)..

I will replace these wheels with something in a 3 piece design; I'm just not sure which model yet..

Thanks Duane! I picked up the black emblem from formymercedes.com.. I requested the grille to be painted body colour (obsidian black) but I think they ended up painting it gloss black like they did to my center caps because it looks a little darker than body colour.. I didnt complain because I still like the look..

I think it's more a function of the design of the spokes that give it the smaller inner-circle size.. I dont think it's necessarily the black colour.
