E55 now?...or E63 later???

Hello to All,
Newbie here with a few questions for all you E55 experts.

Is now a good time to get into a '06 E55 or would you guys recommend waiting for a '07 E63? Is E63 a better overall package than E55?

Is E63 simply a "gap vehicle" for MB before replacing it with Bi-Turbo E65 later?

Assuming E55 is a good value now, is the special leasing promotion by MBUSA a good deal? Link: http://www.mbusa.com/models/main.do?modelCode=E55

Here are the numbers:

'06 E55 with Premium Package
32500 miles for 39 months

Total Cap Cost: $85511.11
Residual: $50010.50
39 month lease with $999/mo
Cap cost reduction: $3000.00
Acquisition fee: $795
Lease-end turn-in fee: $595
Money factor (from my own calculation): 0.0014853

Total out-of-pocket cost for 39 mo. lease = $43350.85 + Tax

I am in no hurry to get the car now. But if this is a good deal, I'll only have about a week to decide.

TIA for your advice.

I'm thinking same, and i'm leaning towards e55 coz it can be moded for more power. Thats the only reason im gonna go with e55. I bet e63 will handle a bit better, i also not sure how good the 7g tranny is gonna act, i hate it in my ml350 is very slow and not sure where it wants to shift.

Go with the E55... Better price, easily mod and do it now before 5/1!

Totally agree.

Definitely do the E55. When you guys start modding the E63, you will probably run into some of the same frustrations that many of us CTS-V owners do (high compression motors don't like tons of boost...)

The options that are available to the E55 are terrific

I went with the 55 for the current deals and they got almost all of its issues sorted out. The 63 could have issues for the first year, plus in two more years the E will be all new, so in three years when my lease is up the all new E will be in it's second year of production which will be perfect timing.
