sorry guys this is a pretty boring and dumb question but can you change the steering wheel to skip radio presets rather than only the frequency? cos right now its only letting me scan through but not let me skip from preset to preset. can you do this without the navi since i dont have navi?

 

Not a dumb question but a dumb design. In short, no, you can't scan presets. Not with NAV either. Can't be done.

 

that's absolutely bad design. i remember with my old w208 being able to change it. geez you would think with a car as complicated as this they wouldn't leave this out.

 

I agree that it is a bad design, but when listening to Sirius, the buttons scroll through all the channels in the current category. So, it has actually turned out to be a good thing when listening to the satellite radio.

 

True, but it still would be nice to only skip to presets like my W210 E55. I even went so far as to mention it in my survey from MB, although it wouldn't surprise me to learn they end up in the round file.

 

Just got mine and thinking the same about the presets too.

 

If you have an '02, you have the option of seeking the next station or next preset. No W211's have the option, seeking the next station is all there is.
