Star Diagnostics, Reset rad temp trip values
I may need some help here. I've have done some cooling system mods to my CLK 5.5. I come to this MB model e-55 ,because of the activity. So far it works well at highway speeds pretty good , But still runs warmer that I want around town ,in traffic. I've got the area Dealer tech interested , He is a SLR certified tech. , but I feel he may not know how to Excess the page to reset or change the trip value of the radiator cooling fan. . There really is not many SLR's in S. FLA. so I think he really has not had a chance to get familiar. He's a good Dude. But if you don't go there often . you know?? What I would like is a blow by blow instructions. Kinda like when we access the dyno Mode , but for the Star Diag. I have search this Forum, but found no complete answers Thanks ___PTE___

Star Diag
Thanks Victor. I found a almost drop in 160*f / 70*c thermostat. Works great above 40 mph. Atnight with the air temo @ 78 * f . my data logger shows about 161 *steady state throttle - 171 * wehen I hammer on it. Then goes back to 161* after a few miles. Just have to complete the city type test with resetting the trip temp value for that type of driving___PTE___
