Congrats!! Wait til you get your first kill.....**warning** it's addicting!!

You'll be killing everything in site for awhile.

It'll calm down though...trust me.......then you'll start modding.

Enjoy the journey.

That's the special designo mat. In Europe, Avantgarde trim level models also come with floor mats that covers the dead pedal area.

Right...it's a little sloppy in the pic, but there is a flap going up over the dead pedal.

Didn't know it was "unusual", or that that "thing" was called a "dead pedal".

When did they start putting the metal/studs plate on the dead pedal? The dead pedal is to rest your bored left foot.

I don't know...the production date on my car is 1/27/06. Anyway, we finally got a dunny day and I finally had some time to get out a camera and take some pics.

I have tried to capture the uniqueness of the Designo Graphite color, especially the "specs" which add such depth and richness...it's much better in person, as it looks a little like dandruff in these 2 dimensional pics, but here goes:

I love the wood color. Birdseye is fine but I had burlwood in my last one and the poplar highlights the interior even better. I wish the birdeye was used like the Burlwood/Poplar on the transmission selector plate and shifter handle(non Keyless). The metal and black plastic doesn't cut it.

Ventillated Seats - RIGHT!!

Congrats! Beatuful car!

The "ventillated seats" thing is misleading. It doesn't blow air upward, but sucks hot air down from your ***. So, your dealer telling you he feels a nice breeze, well, he's BS'ing you - he should know how they truly work! I have had mine for over a year, live in Florida, and have not ever noticed a benefit from this option. I'd like someone to post some comparative data on *** temp. with and without the ventillated seats for a given ambient temp. and dumper size! Hah!

You gotta change those floor mats!

Yeah, there are designo cars and then there are desgino cars.

Nice paint. The wood is an improvement, but it could be a little more dramatic, like curly maple.

And what happened to the handstitched leather dash and center console?

Designo sure ain't what it used to be. Check out some of the w210s for designo craftsmanship.
