Boring the M113 motor

As the modding geeks reside in the E55 forum, I thought I'd ask here.

Anyone here ever bored out the M113 motor? Anyone ever thought about doing it?

I haven't seen any, so I'm guessing something like the absence of suitable pistons are holding the ideas back. Or perhaps the cost involved would be too great for too small of the performance increase?

I've thought about this and consulted Kleemann and imo it's not worth it. Unless you have unlimited funds or deep pockets then it might be worth it. Everything will have to be totally custom made from pistons etc. Again just about everything. Project time could be anywhere from 6mos to a year or so. At best you'll probably get around 700-800hp guesstimate. Just my 2 cents.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
I'm no expert on MB engines and have never done any work on the motors but as I understand it the M113 motor is the same as the E55 except that it is stroked a bit. As it is an aluminum block with sleeves I don't know how thin it can be bored. AMG has hotrodded this motor ad infinitum and have never gone greater than 5.4 liters. (The 5.4 is actually a 4.30 liter motor which has been bored and stroked already.) You might get a German motor guru who could build a wicked blown version though.

How much can the M113 be bored? I head the M119 can be bored up to 6.5L or so...

If money was not an such an object, I would slap a dish plate sized pulley set on it.

The motor is as strong as an ox....the Klee/Renn mods give you the most power but are designed for long term usage......but money no object....who cares about long term usage. I would Kompress the hell out of it.

Is there a Kompressor out there that's able to efficiently handle the air volume requirements associated with that kind of displacement motor?
