Linguatronics
OK ...just got my 04 E55...weather is crappy here so I have been playing with everything in the garage. Found you can't scroll radio presets on the steering wheel..the Quick Tip COMAND book said you can change this default but I couldn't figure out how. I did a search here and see this is one of those dumb little mistakes that can't be fixed apparently. I also read a little bit about Linguatronis but in the search I did there was not a lot of info on it. So here are the questions...can Linguatronics be installed/purchased at the dealer level and does it work on a US COMAND ? Can it be used without a phone installed ? TIA

Spoke with Steve & Dean from MBenzNL sometime back and they said that Voice Control system can be retrofitted. I believe they also said the phone option is not needed, but can't remember for certain about the latter part.
