The Mod no E55 can be without

...make that E55 wagon. As promised months ago, here are some interior shots. It is the Merlot interior. The front seats are standard, but the back seats have a slight modification. For those of you that care, the carseats are Britax Marathons. My wife has confirmed that I now officially have a screw loose. All I wanted was a matching interior. Yes, those are AMG seat logos in the carseats.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Back THE TRUCK UP! Where did those come from? Can you get them in other colors? I just need the standard charcoal for mine! Those are the same seats in our other vehicles, so I don't even have to pass it by my other half!

Phenomenal...

No doubt. Baby on the way, both SLK55 and E55 have charcoal, so I'm guessing this will be a must have if it can be had in that color.

All it takes is a good custom upholstery shop. It can be done in any color. I don't have the talent to do this on my own. He jokingly asked if I wanted ths straps done in alcantara.

I'm definitely interested. Curious...can you tell us how much it cost to have each seat modified?

Gee, my wife made fun of me just because I wanted car seats that sort of matched my interior. I have to show her this. (Won't help my case though)

Just told my wife about the seats. She called me a screwball for wanting them (figuring it's $$$$$$). OPEC, sounds like we signed the same contract!

Hopefully I can convince her that this is very important to the proper development of our children. I would hate for them to be emotionally scarred from having carseats that didn't match the interior of the car!

No price is too great for the proper development of a child. Carseats that don't match the upholstery - the shame. I tell my wife I was affected by it, and that is precisely why I go through cars like I do socks. She's not buying it.
