Advice needed on getting Extended Warranty!!
Just bought a '02 E55 AMG. The car has 39K miles on it and the original warranty already was expired when I bought it.
I went to the local MB dealership to see if they could sell me one and they were like they don't offer extended warranty on AMG's!!
I've been shopping around online trying to find an extended warranty for it but majority of the insurance companies are not offering any extended warranty on AMG's.
I've come across two companies that have offered coverage
Warranty4wheels offered the following:
Plan:Great Lakes Titanium Advantage listed component coverage.
Term: 4 years from today and unlimited additional miles.
Deductible: $100
Features: Towing, rental car, seals & gaskets, with parts and labor replacement. Based upon contract guidelines.
Your quote: $2,500.00
Warranty Warehouse offered Platinum coverage:
72/100,000
Deductible: $100
Price: $3474
My question is has anyone out their had any experience with any of these companies or do you have a suggestion on where I can go to get a good extended warranty on my AMG.

This discussion may make me kill someone. I must go. Screw extended warranties! These companies come and go... who knows which will be around 4 years from now. Careful....

I used these guys when I had an '01 E55.
When I sold it they refunded me most of the price. In fact, it was my tech writer at the MB dealer who recommended them.
Then I used them on an '01 911 Turbo, had a claim for an alternator ($1,300) and the RUF shop said it was the best experience they ever had with an aftermarket warranty.
If I decide to keep my CL55 past the MB warranty, I will go back to them. Katherine Flaherty was very helpful.
The only trick is they may require some manufacturers warranty in place prior to starting theirs.
