Starmark Transferrable?
Hello all,
I am about to pick up a 2001 E55 (bye bye E320)that is Starmarked to 100K. Is this warrenty transferable to the next owner? He said he thought it could only be transferred once (would be him) and I thought it went with the car. Any help would be greatly appreciatted.
Thanks
Phil

from what the dealer told me, its fully transferrable, from private seller to private buyer.
but if a car goes back to authorized dealer, starmark warranty is gone.

Thanks,
I got it Today and talked with a customer service rep and he confirmed it was covered to 2009 and that he switched me to the owner and I was all set, so hopefully it is a done deal.
Car is a different animal than a 320 thats for sure.

You should be all set. It should be fully transferrable. The star mark sticker should be on the driver side, in between the door and the b-pillar. If the dealer gets a trade in with star mark, it has to re certify the vehicle again!
