PS, what about the Klee full exhaust from headers to tail pipes?

cheers
Well its difficult question to answer...

Cory from Kleemann has told that ME that He havent seen any significant gains with Full Kleemann exhaust and that AMG exhaust is very well designed fronm the factory...The most restrictive part on the whole exhaust system is the HEADERS...

On the other hand...Kleemann Germany who had designed the whole system for 55 Kompressors, had told ME...if K2 makes 560 HP the rest of the exhaust (middle muffler, 120Cell cats, rear mufflers) it makes 580 HP...

But Kleemann K2 in US also makes around 580 HP...ask WHY ??? do know and this is the question which nobody can answer ...

In Europe Kleemann K3 constits of Pullies, Full exhaust system (primary cats removed), CAMs and ECU...where as Kleemann US offers same power with Pulles, Headers and down pipes (primary cats removed), CAM and ECU...

So may its just Kleemannd strategy in US to be more competitive...

ok so klee claim 20hp from changing the cats and rest of the exhaust, but main gains from headers.

does doing the headers alone alter the sound much? I have read that on w210 e55's a set of Kleemann headers will really open up the throaty sound of the engine.

We removed the resonator from a customer's W211 E55 and heard basically zero difference in sound. Just our personal experience. Agreed that aftermarket exhausts will not make any substantial gains on a W211 55 AMG.
