Do you think this kit is reliable?
I could not stop laughing after seeing this number.
This is a kit from Wetterauer for E55 about 5500 dollars.
displacement: 5439 ccm
compression ratio: 9.0:1
power: 440 kW/598 hp at 6100 rpm
torque: 950 Nm at 2800 rpm
top speed: 313 km/h
remark: removing the speed governor, otimised for premium fuel, this kit includes mechanical components
what they change are the pulley and ECU program and fuel pressure regualtor and two bypass valves. this is what I heard from a guy who did this kit two days ago. I just could not believe the hp and tq number from this kit.

I have spoked to them before...and they told ME about thier kit as well...
I think its possible with Bigger diameter pullies you can get around 560 HP + bypass valves...=590 HP not sure about thier torgues...+may be they dyno on 3 gear...
They even send ME a Dynosheet previously...
Wetterauer is reputable Very reputable European CHIP tuners...
But when I asked them about reliability and heat issues that higher boost would cause to engine with stock Headers...and that it could be dangerous...
They said our customers do not worry about this, cuase they dont run theor car at WOT for mlong times, they only use FULL power sometimes...

For the price its a bargain ... I think they sell extended waranties with it too when I looked at it ... more info would be good from anyone who had it done.
