Cls Wheels On E55

I bet it's E350 ELEGANCE, which rides about 15mm higher than stock E55 or 35-40 mm higher than most lowered E55's. Drop your car 40mm and you will rip your rear tires to shreds (if they are ex CLS285's 18" or 19" on 9.5" rims wit ET28. 275's would struggle too)
Only yesterday I did a test by putting a 5 MM spacer under my ET38 rears
(285/30/19) and reduced the offset to ET33 (still 5mm more than CLS ET28) I then reversed one wheel onto a curb for a compression test.
My rear wheel literally pushed out the top of the rolled fender, over 150 deg of its circumference. If that happened at any speed , my tires would have been history!
Stay away from CLS or SL65 wheels , both ET25 Front and ET28 Rears, They are just not worth the hassle.
