I think whats next is more internal. Cams-Heads, more efficient super charger geared for higher boost. We already have working models of Cams - Heads in the SLR. Now its time to see what it could do or if its possible to swap them.

Could you imagine what a Turbo version of this car would do pushing 1.5 bar!!!!!

Bottom line is that your going to need more boost to get more power but of course you want the car to breath right also.

You should know by now that I wouldnt waste my time doing all of this just to have something that looks nice and doesnt perform any better than stock.

The idea is to make something *LIKE* the Renntech box which improves flow and air volume and generates an increase in power. I'll take 15 - 20hp for $1,500.

If everyone steps up and is willing to do this I will do all the leg work, provide all the testing and pics and handle the build and distribution.

If we can raise $3,500 I'll do it while I am working on the heads & cam stuff. Otherwise it is gonna wait because I dont want to tie up $4,000 - $5,000 to create a 15hp air box.

Maybe you need to start a new "$1,500 air-box thread." This thread has been here for a few days and I'm thinking that some potentially interested members may be missing this new product. It may also be a wise to post a similar thread in the CLS55 and SL55 forums.

I agree with rock. Anyone on forums that owns a 55K engine could benefit from the airbox. That could make the R&D cost even cheaper and could lead to maybe a cheaper product if there is enough interest.

Hell i dont know but does the NA 55 engines have the same airbox? If so there you go even more.
