Tips Needed on BT Phone System
Owners: just had the UH1 system installed by steve last weekend along with the BT puck so it will work with any BT enabled phone. So far had a few glitches that I thinik are carrier based and we're working them out. I had to buy the Moto V3 from AWS as my old razr had the wrong software version that MB recommends. My questions to this forum is:
1. how can I improve voice reception in the car-people who call me say it is echoy, muffled?
2. Might this be a volume issue? How do you adjust mike volume in the car?
3. Does this affect the callers reception of your voice?4. Are some of these issues due to the BT puck I got from my dealer?
My apologies for the childlike '100 questions' but I want this system to work at its maximum as it is a great convenience for my business-Joker

As for the muffled sound, try to lower the vents so the air does not blow directly to the mirror where the mics are located.
Speak loud and clear
You can adjust the volume of the call using the volume buttons on the steering wheel or comand during a call.
I doubt the issues are with the bluetooth puck. it's standard on all mercedes cars.

I had this problem with an Argos bluetooth system. The muffled sound is actually from speaking too _loudly_. When people had trouble hearing me, I would only speak louder, making the problem even worse. It got so bad that people would hang up out of frustration. Try speaking softly and see if that resolves your problem. The bluetooth microphone gain is a burried setting in the phone, not the car. I haven't seen a phone where you can easily change it. On Motorolas, you can edit the phone software to raise/lower the gain, I did that with my old razr. Unfortunately, I'm currently using an A900 and I haven't figured out how to change this yet, so now I just speak more softly. People can't even tell that I'm using a hands free system now.
