Renntech
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting with Hartmut Feyhl, President of Renntech for almost an hour today. Hartmut is 100% dedicated to his company and the products it produces, he also is a big believer of true net #'s and he despises over inflated claims that some other performance companies put out; the man is all about fact and nothing less. I would have gladly spent an entire afternoon talking with him as his knowledge of MB's is something very special. He was also kind enough to offer contacting some of his MB resources in Germany to help with an issue or two I've been having with my E55. Great company, great people

Florida seems to be his main spot, I see you're in tx and he mentioned he has a distributor there. The shop is nothing too fancy but as I mentioned above the guy is very dedicated to his craft. He also commented that the few Germans that took delivery of their new E63's and wish they had their old 55's back, the reason being the lack of low and midrange torque is quite apparent between the two cars, he also said that the new 6.2 really starts to pull in the upper RPM's but then the car has to shift and the R's drop off as does the power...

the fancy stuff is in the back....
did you tour the back area where they have all the real hardware and actually produce everything? I was impressed...

Yes last time I was there. I was referring to the appearance as it wasn't the "lear jet hanger type shop" with the glistening floors and techs with white lab coats running around as some would imagine...never the less they produce the right goods and the founder is deeply involved in what goes on day to day which is what truly counts

One thing that I have been wondering about is the RENNtech header design. They are the only ones that I have seen with a 4 to 3 design. To e, it looks like they made them that way for clearance issues. If someone does speak with a RENNtech representative, would you please ask him what the background on that design is. It just looks strange to me.

I had the stage 3 done by Kronen in Fremont. They did a class 1 job & I haven't had any problems. I live in the Central San Jouquin valley & it's hot down here but that hasn't produced any problems. I've put on about 3K miles since I had the mods done with no problems (knock on wood) & the power is outrageous! The quality of the products are second to none.
HP Autowerks in Santa Barbara, CA (805.966.3200) is an authorized dealer/installer as well. They did all my Renntech mods (as well as some other custom work) and everything has been exceptional.

Vader :All introductory offers on the LM will be cancelled once i leave. Today is actually the last day for me to place any orders through Kronen. I think Kronen will have a MB specialist to replace me.
Chris, dont worry, Kronen will stay in business and will continue to provide support to your car. You can always contact me if you need help.
