depends on your needs
some are hand held, laptop, small display(I use) each will have thier pro's and cons.
I went with the tiny display because I really only need to see a few bits of data.
Ignition timing, load, MAP, Intake air temp. It was really cheap around 160 dollars. Also I wanted something that I could stick on my windshield so I could constantly see the data. www.scanguage.com
The laptops and handhelds gather more data of course but are bulky.
You can see pictures of the different products on thier webpages. Do a search there are a bunch of different data loggers that people have recommended.
