Afterall, it is a 4 door, and already has built in child seat hardware, right?? Also, with all of the airbags, it is extra safe. And as an added bonus, the 500hp will allow me to get out of trouble, if I find myself in a tight spot. Seems like we are all convinced..........

The only question is, will the WIFE buy it? (LOL)
do what i did when i had my kid on the way: buy an e55 wagon!

from behind the wheel, you'd never know the difference. until you load it up with more crap than you can shake a stick at, at which point your smile will get even wider.

Drives Slowly
Rocket,

I look at it this way. You obviously have spent a significant amount of time, effort and money to change an already beautiful car into a drop-dead gorgeous car. I cannot imagine what kind of SUV you could purchase that could compete with your E55 on any level.

I guess in some weird way it bothers me when I see any member selling their car.........................like there could possibly be something better? Okay, I'm a little

PS To all individuals that would consider purchasing this car. I know for a fact that it drives like ****t and it has a salvage title.

Here are the details on the BEAST:

2004 E55
OPTIONS include:
Keyless Go
Navigation System
Auto Trunk Open/Close system
Factory 6CD Changer
Heated Seats
Sunroof

Exterior Color: Black
Interior Color: Black
Wood: Bird-Eye Maple (Black)
WHEELS: 20" 542r (HRE's) (Black and with Chrome lip).
TIRES: Conti Sportcontact2 (245/35 ft and 275/30 rear).
Awesome Wood/Leather Steering Wheel (It cost me $1,300).
AMG Pedals
K&N Air Filters
Bird-Eye Maple Wood color Center Console cover
WARRANTY GOOD UNTIL February 2009/100,000 miles.
Car is lowered about 1" via Star Diagnostics.

NOTE: Pics were taken prior to it being lowered, so it looks EVEN better now. Also, I removed the wing as I was planning on buying the wing that is on the current E63. Looks better IMHO.
"I do, I do, I do I say", want to be an E55 owner. I ask, with great humble, to grant my wish to be an E55ver, oh lord please christmas in August why not.

I think the car is beautiful, and it is my thought that members of this board care and treat their car with the respect it commands and maintain it well. I would like to be one no longer looking from the sidelines but to be a player.

Sorry no answer on ur call out of town, will try to call tomorrow, if not call again.

thanks, and congratulation on the future addition.

You should keep the car until the baby arrives and see how it works for a couple of months, if you really need something different, you can sell it then. So go out and buy one of those Recaro baby seats and you'll be set to go when the baby arrives!

I don't even have kids and I want one of those seats!

keep it. I have 4 kids and an E55 and E500 wagon as daily drivers. Works great!

Wasn't there a member here who had some custome upholstered baby seats in AMG nappa leather or something? I thought they looked quite well done.

Your not getting rid of the beast, just upgrading to the wagon. I myself am pondering a wagon for the wife but with the new E63 and getting rid of the E55.

I am thinking about the Wagon myself, the only problem being that the E55 is now being replaced with the E63. I just LOVE the torque and grunt, raw power of the E55, so if I do end up going with a wagon, it will likely be a used 04', 05' or 06' Model.

Why not just step up to the R63? Come this fall or early next year I shall have one lol. The Odyssey is being thrown out and replaced with the ultimate large van if you will.

I forgot to mention that the E55's brakes got my wife and son (he was 2 months old at the time) out of what could have been a terrible situation. Some #itch thought she could make a left turn into traffic without looking. She admitted she didnt even look cuz she was so stressed out
Luckily the E55's brakes were strong enough to stop the car where it ended up being a love tap that was fixed with paintless dent repair vs a t-bone incident that would have been much worse, not to mention what could have happened to my wife and son.
It's no sports car, but the E55 will turn and stop better than any SUV could ever dream of, including Cayenne Turbo and ML63.

do you have the lighting package?

how much do you want to get for it? Do you have the stock wheels?

I'm in the market for an E55 with extended warranty.

The way I see it, you loose a brother, but again a new one.

Nothing happened. RoCK just doesn't want me to sell the car, so he was making a "sick" joke (HAHA!). Thank you for your concern though my friend. Very much appreciated!

Hi TOPGUN32. Yes, it has the Lighting Package as well as the Tire PRessure Monitering System. This thing is very much loaded. I have it listed for $70k.

Def. wait and see how it works for you, but these guys are high telling you a 55 is as big and convenient as a full size SUV. We travel in the Yukon. If you're tall like me, the high seats make getting baby in and out WAY easier than the E. Little cute 'utes are not what you're looking for, but full size is much easier to live with than the E55. Also, I really don't care if baby pukes in the Yukon, but have you ever tried getting baby vomit out of the little ventilation holes in an E55?????

Mini-van is the best for babies, beats any SUV with the auto sliding doors! We have two little ones and the wife refuses to drive anything but her fully loaded Honda Odyssey Touring.

It's nice to have multiple cars. However his reasoning was that he had to sell the E55 for something else. If you had to give up the Yukon or the E55, which would it be?
