Sorry to say.. but I'm out.
9/15 was simply too close.... to my Maui vacation 9/4 through 9/8. My boss has not approved the additional day off.
I'm pretty sure this will be very successful event and you probably will do it again.
I hope a 63 engine shows up per Lorens offer. We need to put all the speculations to rest.

I might be there with an E63
Supposedly, the E63 I put a deposit down on is on a boat docking about now. The salesman says it takes a week or 10 days to get the car from the boat to the dealer. I want to sit in and drive the car (hopefully), before buying it. I also need to make sure the dealer will not suddenly mark up the car past MSRP.
Like most of you, I have been VERY interested in seeing how the speed of the E63 compares with my beloved (stock) E55. If I can make it to the event, I will. Did I read somewhere that the guy thrashing his brand-new E63 would have his fee waived?
I hesitate in posting this, since I realize I am being non-committal at this point. Just thought I would mention it. I will know more in 10 days.

haha.... yeah, the first 63 with the cajones to commit to the event goes free, as I'll pay for their $250 share.
And imagine the discussions on this board afterwards.... priceless to actually test with an M5 there, E55s both stock and K2... really, I'm pumped that I'm actually DOING something about all of this, and not just guessing like the rest of the world.
I'm sure you'll dig the E63. Like I've mentioned a zillion times, its not going to be far off the E55 one way or the other... and the E55 is a great great car... so I don't think you'll be sending it back. I can't imagine not liking it. 500hp is 500hp.

If I were to bring these wheels (in my new small RV, which I just bought Friday), it wouldn't be too much of a problem to swap them out a few times amongst each other... really beat the hell out of them.... no?
Which leads me to this: Exactly which drag radial would you want to share for the day? MTs? Size?
Let me know, and I'll probably get them / bring them, along with a nice jack and torque wrench. How funny... Loren's Drag Radial rental booth... $5 a run... haha.

Loren, please check your PM's regarding Wolf's helmet. Also, what exactly are you guys planning to do over there? Just 1/4 mile drags or any hot laps? I am still trying to talk Wolf into going so you have a wagon to play against

About the stocks.... it wouldn't be hard at all to swap them out... we have all day. It will give our cars a chance to cooldown. Definitely bring them and if possible order a pair of the Mickey Thompsons... that is what I've used in the past (C55K S7) and they stuck like glue. They are so soft... much better than the BFG's. If I remember correctly they were $260 shipped. I'll find the place I bought them from.
The problem with the MT's is that I don't believe they make them in an 18" wheel. Might have to go with the BFG's.

I won't be able to stay long, since I'm chained to my desk.

Sorry for not responding Loren. I was waiting to resolve my software issue before I signed up. It's fixed and I pick up my Evo stage 4 with LSD tomorrow. YEAH! Now I am waiting for a NOS part to come in so they can do the two 100 shot install. If you still have room by the time my NOS gets done I will sign up. I would love to come play with some K2's and M5's. Hehe

I don't like NOS, and wouldn't touch my E55 with it. I've had it in several engines... all of them ended badly after a few months... no more NOS for me...
but I do have several bottles, brackets, nozzles, actuators... a warming kit even... if you're looking for parts...

This is a V12 piston after a dual 100 NOS shot. I have to give it credit, it did last 8 months with frequent NOS use...
Notice the rod going through the side of the block... and the dozens of little pieces of piston everywhere in the oil pan... fun stuff, NOS. It always wins in the end.

Ouch! I have taken the proper measures to avoid the damage from NOS. My system will be done by one of the best in the field and he is hooking it straight up to the throttle. It also have custom software that will activate the NOS at the correct time. I am having a switch installed that will shut the bottles when I am done to avoid a build up of pressure. They are also doing a fuel system upgrade.
