bottomline on cls 55 wheels
forum members srt10viper n cyncarvin32 swear there is no rubbing w/ a 245/275 tire. on the flip side forum member rafal claims that the wheels just won't work due to the offsets. i know that 2k6e55 was running 255/285 w/ these wheels and had rubbing issues. so does anyone have a true and definite answer on this subject before i make this purchase. if i do i will get the 245/275 tire.

I've never tried the 275s, but i've been running the 18" AMG style IV rims off of a CLS 500 with 295/30s and they did rub until I had 1/8th inch shaved off the inner face. Now, they only rub when I have the car completely dumped and am playing around. Much of it has to do with the width. I am getting HREs, so I'm done experimenting. Good luck whatever you do.
By the way, 275s were made for the FRONT!! Nothing thinner than 295s in the rear!!

they work fine on my car! (i couldn't help that)
I rode in my friends e55 last night and the ride is so much more plush when compared to my cls55.... and i attribute it to the 18's.... be prepared for a harsher ride with the 19's.... i would stick with the 18's since you already have them....
