DO I need LSD...Which one ???
So ... if the carriers are the same and the axle splines are the same, the first mod on my CL55 will be bumping up the rev limiter and going to around ~3 : 1 from 2.65:1.
It will take me a long time to figure this out ... unless someone on the board already has.
The stunning thing to me was that the bolt-in pre-installed unit price wasn't as pricy as I thought it would be:

Regarding speedo calibration for those of you with LSD:
- When you do burn-offs, does the speedo register rear wheel speed or the fact that the car is sitting still?
My CL55 registers sitting still, but I'm only spinning one tire. However, I'm getting confident that rear axle gear swaps should be simple, and not as complicated a problem as the price some tuners are charging.
If this works you guys will be tearing holes in the space-time fabric of the world. We're talking low 10's.
Good Luck!
P.S. Kak dela?
I wouldnt ask then...

http://www.evosport.com/ or call and ask for Simon.
They did the install so I can't answer your install questions. I can tell you though that the install didn't take them that long. I noticed that you are outside the country so email simon@evosport.com, and he can give you some info. It was well worth the money and the darn thing sticks like glue. I go canyon running with a group of M5 guys all the time and before I got my mods they would take me on the corners, the new M5's handle so much better than our cars. After my mods and Quaife I gave them all a spanking on the canyons last Sunday. She might still be a pig, but she corners like hell now with extreem power. All the M5's guys bowed to the beast last weekend. hehe
On a side note...you guys should also pick up evosport cooling upgrade. Yesterday I was visiting one of my commerical properties in Arizona, and it was 118 degrees. I was pushing her hard to get thru the 8 hours drive in those temps and she didn't get hot. I even had the air on full blast. The cooling package is also well worth it.
Good luck with the mods.

Did they need to change any electronic setting for tranny / ecu / esp as part of the install or was this not needed ?

I'm not sure what it took to install the Quaife. I can tell you this...the other night when I took off the ESP to have some fun and spin out the back, the Quaife kicked in and I didn't drift.
It works so well that I miss the manual control of the ESP. It's still worth having!

Why Open diff like Qualife better the Kleemann diff with locking ratio 60% or Mkb 45% or AMG 35% or others....or its NOT better ???
One with flash and one without.
EVO rear roters.
Oh yeah... ESP off.
...But passively, the diff is obviously always on.
