Your worst nightmare...
From what I have heard, don't think it is too much trouble, just need some good spacers for the cam sensors and a bit of shaving for one of the cams. I have good people that know what they are doing like the MB mechanic that will do my install, he said should be no problem. I just couldn't justify paying the 4K for cams from kleeman, that is a lot of money for probably 10-20HP...lol!

True, it's a lot for a pair of cams, but if you factor in the labor & material for making the spacers & shaving the cam, I would say it would come out about the same.

no way. a spacer is $30 and labor for shaving the passenger side cam is 2...maybe 3 hrs tops for a competent machinist.

I have a machinist that is top notch, who will be building me a custom intercooler also. This guy is good, to shave the cams I would say no more than 50 bucks for me. He has top grade equipment. We will tell once all is done, but you never know.
