Jangy commits to HREs

HREs ordered. It finally happened. I'm in. Going with the C22s in Hyperblack. For now, we are going 18X9 up front and 18X10.5 in the rear. I am planning to beg them to try 9.5 up front to see if there is a chance. 10.5 in the rear is perfect for the 295s and I'll go with 275s up front. Can't wait for the test fits to begin. I got a feeling that they will have a nice setup for our rides, if HRE is receptive to my requests. I am local to them and understand that it may take time, so we'll see how much effort they choose to put in. Anything is better that running 245s on the front with 19s.

Calling BS right now! Its about time you bought some *** wheels, you're a worse shopper than me!!!! LOL

I might be taking a ride down to HRE soon to see what they have.Curous to see what the place is about.

Most likely I'll be getting DPE's though, just because my other half drives the car as well sometimes. She's had some bad luck with wheels ya might say.

Why DPEs? I don't know about wheels all that much. If you are local and just want cheaper wheels, consider Kinesis. Creative carries tham and has a good relationship. Actually, I remember them having some DPEs around, too.

I like the GT7's(?) from DPE,low price and close to my house. This way if the one gets bent i can get it over there and fixed right away if needed. One of the guys from the W211 section has this car,I like the look.I'm thinking 20's in the titanium asphalt finish.

Dunno where DPE is, but Kinesis is in Carlsbad, so think about it. The discounts can get deep and they have a rim nearly identical to that one.

20s, huh? Your better half will trash them on the first bump, LOL!!

That white E does look pretty hot, though.

Trust me I will make sure that others that want agressive wheels and rims can get them and I'll lay many of the rumors to rest.

Not to jack this thread --- but what kind of decklid spoiler is on that white E500? Is that the Carlsson spoiler?

Consider on the HRE's jangy... they are going to look great! Good choice.

Yup, looks like the carlsson. You saying I should get it? I have the Benz 3 piece, but was considering a milder look (single piece). they also have the E63 lip in my color.

Haha. I know, I deserve it. It has only been a year and a half and $6k invested. BUT, had I compromised sooner, I would never be getting 295s in the rear and 275s up front. NEVER!

I meant to say "Congrats" not "consider". Those HRE's are going to look sweet.

Back to the Carlsson decklid spolier... that thing looks sweet, very agreessive.

I definitely can't wait. I haven't seen an E55 with the C22s and definitely none in the new hyperblack so i am excited.

My experience has been closer to half of the HREs. Don't forget all rims get more expensive as you increase in diameter.

Call James at Creative and see what he can offer. Can't hurt and he does have strong ties to Kinesis.

Ive been chatting with him about the DPE's so far.I got a chance to check out Dragons wheels also, very nice indeed. No rivets and clean looking.I'm more concerned about the wheel tucking up nicely, then having a huge lip.Dragons car has a huge lip,but it looks like the tire sidewall is stretched too much for my liking. The white DPE car above has the tuck and enough lip to my satisfaction.I need to see more Kinesis up close before i buy anything,DPE's for that matter.

I'm not a big lip fan either. I'm more concerned with getting the right width and offset and let the lip be where it is.

I know, the HREs are played out. But, when have you seen the C22s, much less on a Benz? Also, the hyperblack finish will give it a fresh look. I am not big on the bling rims (asanti, et al). I wanted flat out performance and weight.

true actully never seen the c22s on a benz so you got me there. do you like renntecs rims they are supposed to be super light and strong if performance is what your after. im actully stuck between crome with paint and your style.

if you dont mind go check out superbuytires.com the rims are on the home page they are asanti AF 211 B2 on a black BMW i have a white 55 so where you see black i will have white. my other choice is the renntech rims painted white with polished lip. let me know what you think.

Played out,so what! Silver MB's everywhere and somebody is going to call an HRE wheel played out? LOL At Fontana drag day,I almost got into the wrong car all day long, all silver E's and 1 dark blue one.

I had to look for my Pano roof to see what car was mine.2K6E55(?)has a different look but it takes a lot to drive a car like that everyday,I like the look a lot but not sure if I could sport it that way for long. Its one of those cars that you see go by and say, dammmm that was nice, but could you see it everyday?
