Puhhh-leasssse, a K4 pushing at most conservative est 600hp (some as high as 620+) and near infinity of torque is gonna lose to the friggin new M5. If it is a slow walk away from the M5, I will be back on the "brilliant Gustav marketing angle" again, but an stock M5 win over a 600hp car cabable of low 11's in the 1/4 is just ludicrous.

Next up on M5Board

Stock M5 beats Cruise Missle
Stock M5 beats Cloud to Ground Lightning
Stock M5 slowly walks away from light emitted from Alpha Centauri

Remember guys......when we first got these videos, all of us had no idea what the M5 would do so these vids were our only way of knowing.

Now the dragtimes verdicts are in.......oh it's fast, but not K4 beating fast.

http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW--M5-Drag-Racing.html

I believe fastest non nitrous M5's are running 12.2-12.3. Very nice, but again, K4's run 11's all day long.

Not enough times posted to pass verdict on the M6 yet, just a couple of 12.5's. It can do much better than that for sure.

Hi Gustav

many thanks for all the pics and videos and I applaud you for posting stuff where the M5/M6 dont always get the win!

One thing I noticed from all the vids is that these V10's pull really strong up top as the speeds get above 200kph (120mph).

Sure its tough to kno where teh other car is letting off, but it appeared in several of the vids as though the Bimmers were keeping up or even catching as the speeds climbed

What I would love to see is an E55 / E63 video done in a similar way -

Gustav after seeing all the cars you lined up at the airstrip I have no doubt you could make this happen for us - its seems that even here on MBWORLD we are so lame that we have been unable to do a definitive stock for stock comparison, despite the E63's being out for over 6 weeks

C'MON GUYS LETS GET IT ON !!!!

search the FONTANA RESULTS;

plenty of stock e55, CLS55, M5, E53, K2, M6 info.... and a P-car.

the times are not important, but the variance between each car on the same day, same conditions, with actual owners driving.

I'll save you the hassle, the E63 and E55 on that day, ran almost the same trap speed, with the E55 having better ETA's.

Besides, we don't have the BMW backing like Gustav.. Loren had to sponsor the event.

I was at the Fontana event... we could of use sponsor like Evosport, Powerchip, ect.. but I guess it was not a big enough event.

You must have very contacts.. for Kleeman to roll out 2 of their vehicles.

A phone call and they are genuine car enthusiasts, so they provided us with three cars.

I can vouch for the Kleeman Denmark guys; top car people and no rivarly there. Some people at mbworld should really learn from them.

All in all the Kleeman people are top notch, just as the Koenigsegg guys.

Gustav,

Great pics of the Kleeman 55. I just watched the Kelleners Sport video, it sounds amazing. Nice video.

Can't wait to see the Kleeman video.

They are rolling runs because that is where the M5/M6 is the fastest. From a dead stop or racing around a closed circuit track the win percentage wouldn't look nearly as good. If someone wanted to make the E55 look good it would be from a dead stop 1/4 mile.

hehe... very true! Those videos would have looked very different from a dig. There is absolutely no way that M5 would have hung with the 997 TT.

Slightly of topic, but if anyone wants to download videos from Google, depending on your Browser, simply right click the link below and select "Add To Favorites" or "Bookmark This Link" then launch the Bookmark/Favorite once you're on the page with the needed video.

Back on topic... is it me or does it seem like the camera man is zooming in once the 997 started pulling?

Hooptie
Z06, while being in the wrong gear (2nd gear @ 30 mph), beat the M6, Gallardo, Tuned M5, and F430..

Because that minimal driver error involvement for both parts.
